Thomas P. Jacob, M.D. - Adult Staff Psychiatrist

Thomas P. Jacob, M.D. is a part time Staff Psychiatrist in Adult Outpatient Medical Services.

Dr. Jacob is board certified in adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and addiction medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. A Native of India, he earned his medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India. He earned his residency in internal medicine at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur, India. Dr. Jacob completed an internship at West Virginia University School of Medicine in Charleston, West Virginia and completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He his postdoctoral fellow in geriatric psychiatry from John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore Maryland. Dr. Jacob is also a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Jacob joined David Lawrence Center in 2008 as a Staff Psychiatrist in Adult Outpatient and Acute Care Services before leaving in 2011 to pursue his postdoctoral work and returned in 2013 to his current position. Before relocating to the United States, he worked as an Internist and Intensive Care Unit Physician for three years in several hospitals in India. In addition, he was an Assistant Professor for MGM Medical College.

Dr. Jacob is fluent in English, Hindi and Malayalam.
