MICHAEL REAGEN, PHD AND RUSSELL BUDD JOIN DAVID LAWRENCE CENTER BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Naples, Fl – The David Lawrence Centers, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and substance use treatment facility serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Reagen and Russell Budd to the Board of Directors. Each will serve a three year term.

Michael Reagen, PhD, is the retired President and CEO of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as a business consultant and advisor. He brings with him to his new board position a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of university administration, metropolitan and community development as well as governmental human services management.

Prior to his 11 year stint with the Chamber where he also led the Leadership Collier Foundation, Reagen served as the President and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce, the Senior Vice President for DesMoines University, Director of Missouri Department of Social Services, Commissioner of the Iowa Department of Human Services and Deputy/Administrator for Onondaga County Human Services in New York.

In addition to his new post as a David Lawrence Centers board member, Reagen also currently serves as Ambassador to Collier County for the Florida Association of Retired Persons [AARP], Trauma Center of Lee Memorial Healthcare System, and the Naples Players Association. His prior community involvement includes serving as Chair of the Collier Injury Prevention Coalition, Chair of the Collier Anti- Fraud Task Force, Ex Officio Board Member of The Partnership for Collier’s Future Economy; and Citizen Member of the Editorial Board of the News-Press.

Russell Budd is the founding partner of PBS Contractors and Wall Systems Contractors and is a Florida certified general contractor and licensed real estate broker.

In addition to his 35-year professional career, Budd has dedicated his personal time to community and industry advancement. He currently serves as a Board Member for the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Collier County, the Collier County 100 Club, and Drug Free Collier. He previously served as a board member for Seacrest Country Day School and Bank of Florida Southwest. Budd was past chairman of the Collier County Planning Commission and the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, as well as a past President of the Collier Building Industry Association. This community involvement was celebrated when we was named a Man of Distinction by the Education Foundation of Collier County.
