David Lawrence Centers Names Mariana Perez Employee of the Year

Naples, Fl – The David Lawrence Centers, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and substance use treatment facility serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce that Immokalee Clinical Coordinator Mariana Perez has been named the 2016 Employee of the Year.

Perez, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, first joined David Lawrence Centers in 2010 as a Case Manager. She was then promoted to a Clinician in the Emergency Services Assessment Center and again when she transferred to the Immokalee Office in 2013. Upon receiving her license in 2016, she was promoted again to her current leadership position as the Immokalee Clinical Coordinator.

Before joining David Lawrence Centers, Perez was a School Counseling Assistant at Colegio de La Salle Pereira in Colombia. In 2004, Mariana earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Universidad Catolica Popular Del Risaralda in Colombia. She later obtained a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2013.

Perez has shown amazing leadership within the Immokalee office, as well as David Lawrence Centers as a whole. In addition to her dedication and commitment to David Lawrence Centers clients and her amazing clinical skills, she has vocalized needs to better address challenges in the Immokalee community. Perez’s willingness to advance ideas and potential new solutions has led to increased services at the Immokalee office and for the community.

Perez embodies a positive and uplifting spirit, which is embraced by her colleagues and helps to foster an empowering and engaging teamwork environment. She is greatly appreciated and admired by her colleagues, clients, and the families she cares for in the Immokalee community.
