David Lawrence Centers Announces Appointment of Two New Board Members

Naples, Fl – David Lawrence Centers (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and addiction recovery treatment center serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Boyer and Robert Edwards, Jr. to the Board of Directors. Both will serve a three-year term.

Ed Boyer is a retired healthcare executive with more than 40 years of experience working in large hospital settings. Prior to his retirement in 2009, he served as the Senior Vice President for Bon Secours Health System, a large, multi-state healthcare provider of hospital, long-term care and home health services. Prior to that, he was a managing consultant and principal for several consulting firms and the President of Maryland Health Care System.

Since his retirement, Boyer has become active in various civic and charitable activities throughout Collier County. He currently serves on the Boards of Physicians Regional Health System and the Senior Friendship Health Center, and he is Past President of the Board of Greater Naples Leadership. He also serves on the Governance and Audit Committee of the Community Foundation of Collier County and is a member of the Collier Citizens Council.

Boyer will serve on the DLC Board of Directors’ Clinical Operations Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee.

Robert Edwards, Jr. is a Financial Advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors. He has more than 10 years of experience in the investment banking industry, having previously served as a Trader/Registered Client Associate with Halstatt, LLC and Senior Investment Associate with Wells Fargo Advisors.

Edwards is also a David Lawrence Centers Young Executive Board Member. While serving in this capacity, he chaired and helped launch the Chip-in-for DLC Golf Tournament and continues to serve on the committee. The event has raised more $75,000 for David Lawrence Centers over the last four years. He will now also serve on the DLC Board of Directors’ Development Committee.
