POSTPONED – Youth Mental Health First Aid Training (Invitation Only)
David Lawrence Center – Telford Conference Room
6075 Bathey Lane
As COVID-19 continues to be a health concern, we will be rescheduling the March 27th Youth Mental Health First Aid Training for a later date. We will continue to monitor CDC updates and recommendations and a new date will be identified once health and safety concerns have improved. Thank you for your understanding and please contact email@example.com directly if you have any questions.
The Youth Mental Health First Aid training is an 8-hour education program designed for adults who work with youth (ages 12-18). The Youth Mental Health First Aid training will use role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to assess a mental health crisis; select interventions and provide initial help; and connect young people to professional, peer, social, and self-help care.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an evidence based, nationally recognized and accredited course created to introduce the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, as well as build understanding of the importance of early intervention. More information regarding Youth Mental Health First Aid can be found at www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org.
The registration fee is $25 and will include training materials and lunch.
