Recovery Month Awards Ceremony
New Hope Event Center
7675 Davis Boulevard
This September, David Lawrence Center is joining the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and other voices of recovery from across the nation to observe the 29th Annual National Recovery Month.
The objective of Recovery Month is to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders, and celebrate the people who recover. It promotes the message that behavioral health is essential to health, prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover from mental and substance use disorders.
The 2018 Recovery Month theme is Join the Voices for Recovery: Invest in Health, Home, Purpose, and Community. It explores how integrated care, a strong community, sense of purpose, and leadership contributes to effective treatments that sustain the recovery of individuals with mental and substance use disorders.
In observance of the nation-wide campaign, David Lawrence Center will hold a Recovery Month Awards Ceremony to recognize outstanding individuals and organizations for sharing their voices to advocate, educate, mentor and help others in need of mental health and addiction recovery services.
The evening will include educational community partner tables during the reception, a dinner, raffle, and an awards ceremony.
This event is free to attend. Sponsorships and donations help ensure the event is able to remain free to attend. Click here to make a donation.
