COVID-19 Community Update

The safety of our clients, staff, and community is of utmost importance, and we are working hard to provide support and services to clients during this time.

We are following the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Collier County Health Department, and the Florida Department of Health (DOH). We are also in daily contact with the local hospitals to make sure we are following the guidelines and keeping everyone as safe as possible.

We have implemented agency-wide strategies to help mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure and to prepare our staff and organization to respond effectively if threat levels escalate.

At this time, David Lawrence Center outpatient and residential services, including Crossroads, remain operational and are continuing to serve clients. Our Access Center remains open and is available to those with a need for behavioral health treatment.

We continue to closely monitor information provided by national, state, and local government, as well as regulatory agencies. To help protect the health and safety of our clients and staff, we have taken the following measures:

  • We are currently still accepting new clients, but strongly encourage the use of our virtual assessment process so that new clients can get registered and connected to services remotely.
  • We are screening individuals who come to our campus by asking questions about their recent health and travels.
  • Whenever possible, our care team is using Web-based telehealth (or phone) to deliver behavioral health services virtually to clients
  • Visitation to our Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit will currently continue for guardians of minors only and will require pre-screening for COVID-19 risk factors based on the CDC/DOH guidelines.*
  • Visitation to our Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit has being postponed until further notice.
  • Visitation to Crossroads Residential program has been postponed until further notice.
  • Outside meetings and activities have been replaced with evidenced-based in-house therapeutic activities and services.
  • We have stopped participation in off-site meetings and instead offer video or phone options.
  • We have increased cleaning procedures and have posted additional information regarding handwashing and virus symptoms.
  • We have increased hygiene/handwashing practices for all clients and staff.

If you have any questions, please call (239) 455-8500.

*Changes to visitation and/or other program policies will continue to be evaluated on a daily basis.
