DAVID LAWRENCE CENTER YOUNG EXECUTIVES AND GULF COAST RUNNERS HOST BEACH BUM 5K APRIL 15, 2016

Naples, Fl – The David Lawrence Centers, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and substance use treatment facility serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce that the David Lawrence Centers Young Executives in partnership with Gulf Coast Runners will host the 3rd Annual Beach Bum 5k fun, family friendly run/walk on April 15, 2016 at 6:30 pm at Lowdermilk Park in Naples with registration beginning at 5:30 pm.

The Beach Bum 5k has a new evening format for this untimed 3.1 mile run/walk on the beach that will end with an encore performance of the beautiful Naples sunset (which takes places at 7:50 p.m.) while participants enjoy race winner announcements, prizes and give aways along with recharging stations with beverages and snacks. Awards will be given to the Top Three Overall Male and Female participants. Also new this year, all beach bums are invited to end their day of health and wellness with a sunset beach yoga class provided by GreenMonkey Yoga.

Adult registration is $15 until March 31st, $20 April 1st through April 14th, and $25 on race day. Students (21 and Under) are $10, then $15 on race day. Additional donations can also be made at the time of event registration. Proceeds will be shared between David Lawrence Centers to support programs and services, and Gulf Coast Runners Youth Development Fund to help defray college expenses for area youth.
