David Lawrence Foundation is a separate, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that was established in 1976 to generate philanthropic support for the David Lawrence Centers mission, ongoing operations and growth. The Foundation is governed by the Board of Trustees.
The David Lawrence Foundations purpose as a philanthropic organization is to raise funds, maintain professional ownership of its real estate and prudently manage, grow and distribute its income and endowment on an annual basis as deemed appropriate by the Board.
The Foundation raises money through events, planned gifts, grants, private donations and the Encore Resale Shop. In addition, the Foundation reaches out to the business community through their Corporate Partners Program in order to utilize the expertise in the community to enhance the efforts of the Center and Foundation, educate the business community on the purpose and value of the David Lawrence Center and to encourage corporate and business support of the programs and services provided to our community.
Support to David Lawrence Center
The Foundation supports David Lawrence Center by making an annual unrestricted grant, maintains and grows an endowment to perpetuate the future of the Center, manages an investment portfolio and distributes earnings from the portfolio when needed for special projects to improve the Centers facilities.
