Brent Lovett, MD - Children's Senior Psychiatrist
Brent Lovett, MD rejoined the medical team in 2016 as the Senior Children’s Psychiatrist after more than 9 years with the Center. Dr. Lovett provides direct psychiatric services to children and adolescents in Children’s Outpatient Medical Services and the Children’s Community Action Team. He will also play an integral role in launching the new children’s partial hospitalization program planned for 2017. Dr. Lovett’s position is funded in part by the Naples Children and Education Foundation, founder of the Naples Winter Wine Festival.
Dr. Lovett is a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist with nearly 25 years of experience in community mental health and private practice. Prior to his return, he most recently had a private practice in Naples for the last several years. Previously, he served as the David Lawrence Center’s Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, Children’s Medical Director and Child Staff Psychiatrist.
Dr. Lovett earned both his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from the University of Kansas. He went on to complete his post-graduate work in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry from Kansas University. Dr. Lovett was a Major in the Unites States Army Reserves and served in the War in Iraq.
