BRENT LOVETT, MD RETURNS TO DAVID LAWRENCE CENTER AS SENIOR CHILDREN’S PSYCHIATRIST

Naples, Fl – The David Lawrence Centers, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and substance use treatment facility serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce that Brent Lovett, MD has returned to the psychiatric medical team as Senior Children’s Psychiatrist. Dr. Lovett will provide direct psychiatric services to children and adolescents in Children’s Outpatient Medical Services and the Children’s Community Action Team (CAT). He will also play an integral role in launching the new children’s partial hospitalization program planned for later this fiscal year. Dr. Lovett’s position is funded in part by the Naples Children and Education Foundation, founder of the Naples Winter Wine Festival.

Prior to his return, Dr. Lovett most recently had a private practice in Naples for the last several years. Previously, he served as the David Lawrence Center’s Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, Children’s Medical Director and Child Staff Psychiatrist for a total of 9 years. He is a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist with nearly 25 years of experience in community mental health and private practice.

Dr. Lovett earned both his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from the University of Kansas. He went on to complete his post-graduate work in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry from Kansas University. Dr. Lovett was a Major in the Unites States Army Reserves and served in the War in Iraq.
