Client Handbook

Through positive reinforcement, learning what triggers his anger and how to cope with it, and getting him into a special education class, Charlie went from trouble maker to the Dean’s list.
Therapeutic Behavioral On-Site Services (TBOSS) are designed for children and adolescents ages 2-21 and their families. These services help children who have complex needs in an effort to prevent the need for a more restrictive placement. These children display a high frequency of behavioral and emotional challenges. The behaviors interfere with the child’s ability to interact with peers, family and school staff. It is recognized the important role that the family plays in the child’s success so treatment services are provided on an individual and family basis.

TBOSS provides an individualized therapeutic approach where the disruptive behavior occurs, allowing access to a child’s natural behaviors, environments and care givers. This can include the home, school and daycare.

Comprehensive services may include:
  • Treatment Planning and Review
  • Individual and Family Therapy
  • Social Skills Development
  • Behavior Management
  • Medication Management
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Referral and Linking Services (as needed to case management and psychiatric medical services)
Therapeutic Behavioral Onsite Services are community-based and provided throughout Collier County. Youth who access these services must meet certain clinical criteria determined by a clinician through a comprehensive clinical assessment.
